Food and Lake Colours are commonly used for giving versatile colours to food and beverages. These colours are also majorly used in various products like medicines, textiles, paint, toothpaste, cosmetic and many more as the application is immeasurable. Colour additives are produced in various forms like in liquid, powder, gel and paste.
There are various purpose of applying colour additives like;

Sunset Yellow: It is derived from petroleum, primarily used, to give sunset yellow colour to food which is also known as orange yellow. It is used in various food like sauces, desserts, candies and more. Varied shades of brown can be obtained when combined with amaranth.

Allura Red: Allura red are highly demanded food pigment globally. It is used in food like sweets, candies, ice-creams, yogurt and beverages.

There are other various stains that are produced and are highly demanded like amaranth, indigo carmine, ponceau, fast green, patent blue, quinoline yellow, chocolate brown, food  yellow, food black and fast red. Amaranth is dark red to purple pigment and its name was taken from amaranth grain. Ponceau is also under the shade of red which is used as a food Colour. Indigo carmine is a shade of blue used for blue coloured food and beverages and also these stains are used in diverse industries like textiles, medical, cosmetics and more.
