Tartrazine: Tartrazine is light orange in colour and falls in Primary type food colour. It is odourless and its physical properties show that it is in form of solid, fine, powdered granules. Its water solubility makes it useful in varieties of food including desserts and candies, soft drinks, condiments, and breakfast cereals.
Erythrosine: Erythrosine is commonly used in candies, popsicles, and cake-decorating gels. Erythrosine is also water soluble which makes it useful in making dyes. It gives a pink to reddish pink shades when applied. It acts as strong reducing agents as well as decolorizing agents.
Sunset Yellow: Sunset Yellow gives yellow shade to the product and has a great value in Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Cereals, Beverages and other industries. Sunset Yellow colour when mixed with E123, amaranth, produces a brown colouring. This mixture is used in colouring both caramel and chocolates.
Allura Red: Allura Red is scientifically classified as ‘Genotoxic’. Globally, there is a high demand for this colour. It is generally used in products that include sweets, candies, ice-creams, yoghurt, and beverages. It is always used in children medication to give an attractive look.
Brilliant Blue Colour: It is generally mixed with Tartrazine in order to obtain various pigments of green. It appears in reddish blue powder and is most commonly used in sectors of food industries that include ice-cream, blue coloured dairy food, sweet and many beverages.
